The pit crew at Highlands Pit Lane have entered a team into a very special community event being held on the weekend of the 1st and 2nd of March 2008 in the Southern Highlands. It is the Relay for Life which is to raise money for further research, education and support services of cancer. Two years ago when it was last held in the Southern Highlands, the community raised the highest ever amount of funds for a relay for life event. Community Service
Over the last 12 months the crew at Highlands Pit Lane have been actively supporting the local community where possible. A few highlight have been the 2010 Relay for Life, involvement with & support of the conmbined Rotary Clubs Dream Cricket day & support of but not limited to Welby Garden Centre, The Southern Highlands Botanic Gardens & local High Schools through our work experience program. In July 2011 we start a project working with disengaged youth, Access Training & the Smith Family to prepare a car for the Smash Up Derby to be held at the Moss Vale show in March 2012.
